Scrapbook Convention

On Friday I went to the 2013 CKC-Portland Scrapbook Convention to volunteer. There were lots of people who attended the event but sadly to say the convention is getting smaller and smaller every year.

Volunteer Time

I was there all day, but had a great time being Sophia’s teacher aid. Sophia from Strictly Scrapbooking taught two great classes and had lots of give-away prizes in her class. I helped out with Mixed Media with Canvas and Quick & Easy with My Mind’s Eye. Mixed Media with Canvas class created a beautiful mini book with Prima flowers, ribbons, wooden-block embellishment (new), and lots of bling. The other class created 4 single page layout using My Mind’s Eye products. She showed the class how to make things “pop,” how to layer stickers, use the whole paper, and flower techniques. Great pages. Sorry I don’t have pictures of them. But I took some examples of Sophia’s layouts.
